Dillon Champagne graduated from Divine Child High School in 2017 as one of the only two-time captains in program history. Upon graduating high school, Dillon was recruited to play at Division II Salem University in West Virginia. As a freshman, Dillon played corner infield and was in the weekend starting rotation on the mound.
In 2019, Dillon transferred and walked on at Division One Longwood University in Farmville Virginia. During the 2020 season, Dillon earned the closer role on the mound and became an everyday bat at first base and DH. In 2021, Dillon went on to become a captain at Longwood where he again was the closer and hit in the middle of the lineup as a First basemen/DH. At present, Dillon is a professional baseball pitcher and finished the 2023 year coming out of the bullpen for the Ogden Raptors of the pioneer league in Ogden,
Utah.
Dillon will be a solid addition to the GRIT OVER GIFT team and be integrated into pitching and strength programs this off season and work into lessons as we are working on developing another tunnel dedicated to only pitching!
